RATIFICATIONS OF APPOINTMENT TO THE KIDS AND COPS COMMITTEE

Body
Recommended Action:
Recommendation
Recommend City Commission approves and ratifies the appointed members to the Kids and Cops Committee for two (2) year terms ending November 30, 2019.

Body
Background:
The Kids and Cops Committee was established as an Advisory Board to the City Commission in May, 1994 with the adoption of Ordinance No. 20-94. Its primary goal is to strengthen the relationship between the local youth of our community and members of the Delray Beach Police Department through various programs and activities. It is composed of representatives from the City’s Police and Parks and Recreation Departments, as well as, representatives from the Delray Beach public schools. Over the years, membership has evolved to include “At Large Representative” which has provided the opportunity for interested residents to participate in the program. The City Commission directly appoints members to fill the “Citizen-At-Large Representative” and “At-Large Representative” category. The other appointments are made by the various groups involved and presented to the Commission for ratification.

The current appointees for ratification are:
