Motion to approve the installation and maintenance agreement with Verona Woods Homeowners Association, Inc. allowing the Association to replace City-owned street signs within the subdivision boundary with new street signs providing for the Association to assume all responsibility for installation and maintenance of new street signs and to protect the City and the public from liability.

 

Body

Background:

The Verona Woods Homeowners Association, Inc. (Association), a non-profit corporation located within the Verona Woods subdivision,  wishes to replace street signs in the neighborhood that differ from the City standard street signs that are provided.  If approved, a total of five intersections within the Verona Woods subdivision will receive the new street signs.  The Association is responsible for the purchase, installation and maintenance of the street signs.

 

City Attorney Review:

City Attorney agrees to legal form and sufficiency.

 

Finance Department Review:

This action will result in a decrease in maintenance responsibility of City Public Works Department staff.

 

Funding Source/Financial Impact:

All funding is provided by the Association.

 

Timing of Request:

This is not a time sensitive matter.
