Motion to retroactively approve Amendment No. 1 between the City of Delray Beach and Alsco, Inc. to extend the Agreement from July 9, 2017 through July 9, 2018 for linen services in an amount not-to-exceed $25,000.

Background:
On July 10, 2015, the City of Delray Beach issued an Agreement for linen services with Alsco Inc. (ITB No. 2015-14) effective through July 9, 2016 with two, one-year renewals. On July 10, 2017 the Agreement was renewed through July 9, 2018.
The agreement expired on July 9, 2016. However Alsco, Inc. continued to provide services under the same terms and conditions of the Agreement. The company has agreed to extend the Agreement through July 9, 2018 in an amount not-to-exceed $25,000.
In the meantime staff is preparing a competitive solicitation for linen rental services for the Delray Beach Golf Club in the future.
This motion is in accordance with the City Code of Ordinances, Section 36 and City Policies and Procedures, Change Orders and Amendments; Contracts must be amended in the same manner in which they were executed.

Approved as to form and legal sufficiency.
Finance Department Review:
Finance recommends approval.
Funding Source/Financial Impact:
Funding is available from account number 445-75-152-575.52-33 (Operating Supplies Uniform / Linen Service). This expense was budgeted and approved during the FY17/18 budget process in the amount of $28,000.
