Background:
The City of Delray Beach currently owns a 15’ parcel located at 306 SE 5th Street. The City obtained this parcel from the County in 1997.
City staff believes it is in the City’s best interest to quit-claim deed the parcel to the adjacent property owner. As a condition of the sale, the property owner, 302 Delray LLC will be required to execute and record a Unity of Title in order to finalize this transaction. In addition, the property owner has agreed to reimburse the City for the cost of publication of the sale.
Attached for review is an image of the parcel obtained from the Palm Beach Property Appraiser. It should be noted that the neighboring property located at 310 SE 5th Street had no interest in acquiring the property and provided the City with a letter reflecting same.
