Motion to approve Resolution No. 18-18 to award a three year Agreement with two, one-year renewal options to L.V. Superior Landscaping, Inc. for Landscape Maintenance of Martin Luther King Blvd. in the not-to-exceed amount of $17,729 and to authorize the City Manager to exercise any and all options to renew.

 

Body

Background:

On November 20, 2017, the City of Delray Beach (City) advertised an Invitation to Bid (ITB) No. 2018-011 Landscape Maintenance of Martin Luther King Blvd. to provide landscape maintenance services. This landscaping maintenance includes weeding, trimming shrubs, pruning of trees, edging, weed control of all landscape beds/nodes and decorative tree rings. Also included is fertilization of decorative trees and shrubs, and mulching of flower beds/nodes and decorative tree rings. Three (3) bids were received from Gator Landscaping, Inc., Earthly Designs and Resources, Inc. d/b/a Mobile Lawn Service, and L.V. Superior Landscaping, Inc. The lowest responsive and responsible bidder was L.V. Superior Landscaping, Inc.

 

The agreement staff is presenting to the Commission is for a not-to-exceed amount of $17,729 annually from L.V. Superior Landscaping, Inc. The Agreement is for three years with two, one-year renewal options.

 

This motion is in accordance with the City Code of Ordinances, Section 36 and City Policies and Procedures.
