Designate April 27, 2018 as Arbor Day in the City of Delray Beach.

Background:
Each year, the City of Delray Beach celebrates Arbor Day by planting trees in an effort to promote the many benefits that trees have to offer. The City of Delray Beach has been designated as a Tree City USA for the last 18 consecutive years. One of the requirements for the continuation of this designation is the celebration of Arbor Day and designating the celebration by a proclamation. This proclamation will achieve one of the criteria for designating the City of Delray Beach a Tree City USA for the 18th consecutive year.
