Background:
Delray Beach’s small business economy is a contributing factor to its unique, vibrant reputation as a regional center for fun, dining, shopping and commerce.
For the fourth year, Delray Beach’s economic development team and partners will present “We ♥ Small Biz Month,” a power-packed, month-long series of seminars, workshops, conferences, promotions and special events designed to show the love for local small businesses.
The “We ♥ Small Biz Month” campaign is a key component to Delray Beach’s business retention and expansion strategy which was launched in 2015. By issuing this proclamation, the City of Delray Beach also joins with communities across the U.S. to celebrate National Small Business Week and highlight what entrepreneurs and small business owners do every day - work hard, take risks, create 21st century jobs, support community life, drive innovation and increase Delray Beach’s competitiveness.
Staff will provide a brief presentation on our 2018 We ♥ Small Biz program and recognize local and regional partners responsible for supporting our highly entrepreneurial economy.
