Motion to approve the first one-year renewal option (Year 2) and Amendment No. 1 to the agreement with CDM Smith Inc. for annual city-wide project management services through June 5, 2019.

Body

Background:

On June 6, 2017, the City of Delray Beach (City) executed an agreement (Agreement) with CDM Smith Inc. for annual city-wide program management services (RFQ No. 2016-111C) for a total annual Agreement value not to exceed $250,000.  The initial Agreement is effective through June 6, 2018, and includes four, one-year renewal options. This agenda item requests approval of the first year renewal option (Year 2) and to maintain the existing annual Agreement value of $250,000.

Year 2 funds are anticipated to be used to conduct phase I of a Utilities Department condition assessment for horizontal assets, consisting primarily of water, wastewater, and stormwater underground pipes.

This motion is in accordance with the City Code of Ordinances, Section 36 and City Policies and Procedures, Change Orders and Amendments; Contracts must be amended in the same manner in which they were executed.
