By separate motions:

 

1.                     Appoint a member of the Board to the position of CRA First Vice-Chair, if desired.

2.                     Appoint a member of the Board to the position of CRA Treasurer, if desired.

Background:

 

Pursuant to the CRA By-Laws, the Officers of the CRA shall include the Chair, Vice Chair, First Vice-Chair, Treasurer, and Secretary. The City Commission designates the Chair and Vice-Chair. The CRA’s Executive Director is the Secretary. Therefore, the CRA Board appoints the First Vice-Chair and Treasurer.  The CRA’s By-Laws further provide that the First Vice-Chair and Treasurer shall be appointed on an annual basis. 

 

In the event that the CRA Board elects to maintain the positions of First Vice-Chair and Treasurer under terms of the current by-laws, the offices of First Vice-Chair and Treasurer will need to be designated by the CRA Board.
