APPROVAL OF RESOLUTION NO. 82-18 APPROVING AMENDMENT #6 TO THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF DELRAY BEACH AND SUPERION, LLC (FORMER SUNGARD PUBLIC SECTOR, INC)
Body
Recommended Action:
Recommendation
Motion to approve sixth amendment to the agreement between the City of Delray Beach and Superion, LLC (Former Sungard Public Sector, Inc.) for purchases of additional software applications in the amount not to exceed $160,000
Body
Background:
The Police Department currently utilizes ONESolution public safety software from Superion, LLC. The software is used daily by the Police Department personnel, to deliver concise and reliable information fast. With the state of the art software, Communications specialists can instantly share knowledge of changing events with officers in the field, officers can leverage existing data on suspects and previous incidents, and command staff can strategize with detailed data on crime patterns. The ONESolution software streamlines communications between multiple responding agencies, encouraging collaboration and reducing operational costs. The Police Department is trying to purchase additional software applications to include Automatic Vehicle Locator (AVL), Freedom, and Field Training Online (FTO). Also, the Police Department is trying to obtain professional services from Superion, LLC, associated with the implementation of mobile evidence vouchers which does not have any effect on the current agreement between the City of Delray Beach and Superion, LLC.
Mobile Evidence Vouchers - moving the evidence vouchers from Records Management System (RMS) to mobile application will allow officers to complete evidence forms for any evidence collected while in the field instead of having to come to the Police Department.
Automatic Vehicle Locator (AVL) - this application will allow Computer Aided Dispatch system (CAD) to be able to dispatch calls using GPS to the closest vehicle available.
Field Training Online - this application streamlines new-hire training programs and integrates with CAD and RMS so that calls officers in training worked can be pulled and commented as a part of the training process.
Freedom - this application would allow Command Staff to receive CAD calls on their phones to include maps and messaging.
ONESolution public safety software products are proprietary software solely provided by Superion, LLC. Further, Superion, LLC is the sole provider of the professional services, training, modification, and miscellaneous support of these applications.
The cost to purchase additional applications is $98,500. One-time costs for professional services (Implementation, configuration, project management, and training) are in the amount of $30,720. The maintenance cost impacting current agreement with Superion, LLC are in an annual amount of $11,250 and there is also a cloud/hosted access annual fee for the Field Training Online application of $1,500.
