Motion to award a three-year Agreement with Green Industry Landscaping Corporation, for landscape maintenance in an amount not-to-exceed of $141,000 for the Agreement term and authorize the City Manager to exercise any and all renewal options.

Background:
On May 22, 2018, the City of Delray Beach (City) advertised an Invitation to Bid (ITB) No. 2018-040 for landscape maintenance services for the following areas: Lake Ida Rd. Medians (from Swinton Ave to I-95 and Congress Ave to Military Trail.), W. Atlantic Avenue (Center medians and roadside right of way from Swinton Ave to NW/SW 12th Ave) and George Bush Blvd. (from NE 6th Avenue to Andrews Avenue roadside right of way).

This contract includes the following landscape services: weeding, trimming shrubs, pruning of trees, edging, as well as weed control of all landscape beds/nodes and decorative tree rings. Fertilization on decorative trees and shrubs, and mulching of flower beds/nodes and decorative tree rings.

Eight (8) bids were received; Green Industry Landscaping Corp was deemed the lowest responsive responsible bidder. Staff recommends award of agreement for three years with two one year renewal options.

This motion is in accordance with Code of Ordinances Section 36.02 Commission Approval Required.

City Attorney Review:
Approved as to form and legal sufficiency.
