Recommendation
Motion to approve Change Order No. 1 with Southeastern Engineering Contractors, Inc. for the Master Lift Station No. 1 Rehabilitation and Upgrade (Project No. 16-030) in a total not-to-exceed amount of $63,732.48 and for an additional 45 days.

The MLS1 collection basin encompasses an area north to S.E./S.W. 6th Street, south to the City limits (C-15 Canal), west to I-95, and east to the Intracoastal Waterway. This project will rehabilitate and upgrade the lift station to modern design and standards for communications and reliability. Construction consists of converting the station from a building type with a dry pit/wet well to a submersible station; constructing a new 12-foot diameter wet well with three new 84 HP pumps; a new electrical control panel; and installing a new 400kW standby generator appropriately sized to operate MLS1 in the event of a power failure, while maintaining the operational status of the facility.

On December 4, 2017, the City advertised "Invitati...
