Motion to grant a utility easement to Florida Power and Light to install a buried power line and a pad mounted transformer to provide electrical service to the City’s Master Lift Station #1 facility that is presently under construction for upgrades (Project No. 16-030) at 430 SE 6th Avenue.

Background:

Florida Power and Light has requested a utility easement from the City in order to install a buried power line and a pad mounted transformer to provide enhanced electrical service to the City’s upgraded Master Lift Station #1 facility that is presently under construction (Project No. 16-030) at 430 SE 6th Avenue just north of the existing 505 Teen Center. The City is presently upgrading Master Lift Station #1 and the new electrical service and pad mounted transformer is part of the project to increase the reliability of this master lift station.

Timing of Request:

Granting the utility easement to Florida Power and Light at this time will facilitate the installation of new electrical utility infrastructure to serve the City’s Master Lift Station #1.
