Background:
The City of Delray Beach (City) maintains a diverse fleet of approximately 550 light, medium and heavy duty vehicles, rolling stock and associated fleet equipment that serves the City’s Fire, Police, Public Works, Parks & Recreation, Utilities, Code Enforcement, Building Inspection, Planning and Zoning, and Grounds Maintenance divisions and departments. The Fleet Maintenance Division within the Public Works Department is responsible for all aspects of services relating to the City’s fleet including procurement and disposal, fueling, and the maintenance and repair of these vehicles.

The Public Works Department wishes to perform a comprehensive analysis of the City’s fleet management operations including the development of specific recommendations to improve operational efficiencies, maximize use of available resources and position the fleet organization to become a leading provider of fleet management and maintenance and repair services.

On July 3, 2018 the City of Boynton Beach Commission awarded a contract with Mercury Associates, Inc. for a Comprehensive Analysis - Fleet Operations pursuant to its solicitation number RFP 017-2510-18/IT.
