Background:
The Palm Beach County Bar Association’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee seeks to promote to lawyers, the judiciary and the public, the use and value of alternative dispute resolution processes. These processes help parties resolve disputes without a trial in a less costly and more timely and satisfying manner. In 2011, the American Bar Association declared the third week of October as Mediation Week to recognize the utilization of mediation as one of several appropriate dispute resolution processes.
