Background:
This Ordinance serves to dissolve the Public Employee Relations Committee of the City of Delray Beach (also known as ”Mini-PERC”). By repealing sections 35.030 through 35.041 of Chapter 35 of the City of Delray Beach Code of Ordinance, “Employee Policies and Benefits, the employees of the City would be eligible to participate in the State of Florida Public Employees Relations Commission. Currently, all appointments to Mini-PERC have been suspended indefinitely and there are no pending disputes before the Commission. The City’s labor counsel recommends approval of this Ordinance.
