Motion to approve the Interlocal Agreement with the Delray Beach Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) for a term which will commence upon execution of the contract and terminate on September 30, 2019 for the Co-Title Sponsorship for the 2019 Delray Beach Open Tennis Tournament in the amount of $905,000.

Background:
The Delray Beach Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) Board of Directors approved the attached Interlocal Agreement between the City of Delray Beach (City) and the Delray Beach CRA for the co-title sponsorship of the 2019 Delray Beach Open at their meeting on September 19, 2018. The sponsorship of tournaments at the Delray Beach Municipal Tennis Center (Tennis Center) helps further the mission of the CRA by helping the Tennis Center remain a competitive venue for major events. These events draw thousands of visitors to downtown Delray Beach including the West Atlantic Avenue area. The increase of visitors has a direct-result in economic benefits for downtown merchants. This will be the eleventh (11th) year that the CRA has been a co-sponsor for this great event.

Approved as to form and legal sufficiency.
Funding Source/Financial Impact:
Funding is available from the Delray Beach CRA.
Timing of Request:
This needs to be approved prior to the 2019 Delray Beach Open which will take place February 15 - 24, 2019.
