Approve the attached Work Assignment with Song & Associates, Inc. for the design work associated with the 95 SW 5th Avenue Design project at a cost not to exceed $56,820.00, in substantially the attached form.

Background:
The CRA currently owns 95 SW 5th Avenue (“Property”), a 7,125 square foot lot located in the Historic 5th Avenue business corridor. In 2010, the CRA developed a 7-space public parking lot on the east portion of the Property. The west portion of the Property fronting SW 5th Avenue is vacant, in anticipation of constructing a commercial building on the property in the future.
To encourage economic development and activate Historic 5th Avenue via the Focus on 5th initiatives, the CRA is seeking to develop a commercial building on the vacant portion of the Property which requires architectural drawings to be prepared.
Attached is a Work Assignment between the CRA and Song & Association, Inc., one of the CRA’s Consultants/Architect on a Continuing Contract Basis, which describes the Scope of Services for this project from design to full construction/design documents, including construction administration. The services will include the statement of probable cost, project specifications, bidding assistance, construction administration, and final certification. The Scope of Services, excluding construction administration should be completed within 210 days of execution by the CRA. The cost for the services is a not to exceed cost of $56,820.00.
