APPROVAL OF AMENDMENT NO. 1 FOR PLUMBING MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR SERVICES WITH GREEN TEAM PLUMBING D/B/A GREEN TEAM SERVICE CORP TO INCREASE THE APPROVED NOT-TO-EXCEED CONTRACT VALUE TO $150,000 THROUGH APRIL 30, 2019

Recommended Action:
Recommendation
Motion to approve Amendment No. 1 for plumbing maintenance and repair services with Green Team Plumbing d/b/a Green Team Service Corp to increase the approved not-to-exceed value to $150,000 through April 30, 2019.

Body
Background:
On March 30, 2017, the City of Delray Beach (City) Commission approved a contract award to Green Team Plumbing d/b/a Green Team Service Corp for plumbing maintenance and repair services pursuant to RFP No. 2017-019 in total amount of $75,000 through April 30, 2019 (Agreement). The approved value was based on the average of past expenditures for these parts and services. As a result of a persistent rise of applicable commodities, goods and demand for services, staff recommends increasing the not-to-exceed contract value to $150,000 through April 30, 2019. This amendment, if approved, will increase the two-year contract value from $75,000 to $150,000. This increase will allow the City continuity of these services.

This motion is in accordance with the City Code of Ordinances, Section 36 and City Policies and Procedures, Change Orders and Amendments

City Attorney Review:
Approved as to form and legal sufficiency.

Finance Department Review:
Failure to approve this increase could delay the provision of plumbing maintenance and repair services while acquiring future expenditure extension approvals, should they become necessary.
