Background:
The City is required to adopt a resolution to allow for the billing of a fire assessment fee on the property tax bills as a non-ad valorem assessment for fiscal year 2020. By adopting the resolution, the City is not required to proceed forward with the fire assessment fee, but this step must be completed prior to January 1 if the City wishes to place the fee on the Palm Beach County non-ad valorem assessment roll.
This Resolution also authorizes an assessment for fire-protection services for a portion of fiscal year 2019 which will be billed and collected by the City.

Approved as to legal sufficiency and form.
Timing of Request:
As stated above, this Resolution must be adopted before January 1, 2019.
