Title
DISCUSSION - DRAFT REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS - WAYFINDING SIGNAGE
Body
Background:
The City, CRA, and DDA are partnering to develop a wayfinding and identity system to connect the clusters in the urban core. The system will be designed to project a consistent image, ease vehicular congestion, promote destination areas, enhance walkability and be sustainable as well as expandable.
Attached is the draft Scope of Services to be discussed with the CRA Board in anticipation of issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) with CRA Board authorization in January.
The process will be managed by the CRA in partnership with the DDA and City, with guidance from a Steering Committee comprised of community and business stakeholders appointed by the Project Team. The purpose of the RFP is to solicit qualifications of registered Professional Teams interested in providing consulting services needed to develop new concepts and design a plan based on an agreed upon proposal. Proposals are only for Design and Stakeholder administration services and will preclude the firm from bidding for construction. Construction services will be rendered through public bid by the Delray Team or in coordination with municipal agencies. The selected firm is expected to provide bidding and construction administration support as outlined in this solicitation.
