Background:
At a recent City Commission workshop, a discussion was held and direction was provided concerning stream-lining and reducing the number of Boards of the City of Delray Beach.

This ordinance removes reference to the Parking Management Advisory Board (PMAB). In lieu thereof, a Parking Technical Advisory Committee (PTAC) would be established comprised of certain members of City Staff as well as the Executive Director of the DDA. The PTAC would retain the same responsibilities of the PMAB. The PTAC would be created by Resolution at a later hearing and would be comprised of the following members of City staff: Chief Parking Facilities Administrator, Assistant City Manager, Transportation or City Engineer and Transportation Planner. In addition, the Executive Director of the DDA would also be a member. The PTAC would be tasked with advising and providing recommendations to the City Manager concerning parking management regulations and related issues.

The Planning Board recommended denial (4-1) for the proposed ordinance.
