Background:

The City of Delray Beach, with the assistance of consultants, performed a Seawall Vulnerability Study and Stormwater Master Plan.  The plans addresses current and future conditions of the City’s infrastructure and provides recommendations to address future impacts of climate change on the City’s infrastructure. These plans looks at future sea level rise and its impacts on the City’s ability to keep the City and its residents from flooding conditions. This presentation will discuss the detail of each study including recommendations to raise seawalls, line/replace pipes, install valves and pumps as well as raise roads to keep up with rising sea levels.
