Motion to Award an Amendment No. 2 to Agreement to Keith and Schnars, P.A. for construction, engineering, and inspection (CEI) services for Phase 1 of the NE 2nd Avenue / Seacrest Beautification in an amount not-to-exceed $36,200 for the Agreement Term (Project No. 14-071).

Background:
On June 20, 2017 the City of Delray Beach (CITY) Commission approved the award of an Agreement to Keith and Schnars, P.A. (K&S) for CEI professional services for Phase 1 of the Seacrest Beautification Project in an amount not-to-exceed $181,000.
On July 17, 2018 the City of Delray Beach (CITY) Commission approved Amendment No. 1 to K&S in an amount not-to-exceed $93,597 for the term of the agreement.
Due to weather, construction work change orders, and other delays outside K&S ability to control, an additional 30 days of CEI services in an amount not-to-exceed $36,200 is requested to complete the construction project (Final Completion October 1, 2018).
Therefore, submitted for your review and approval is Amendment No. 2 with K&S in an amount not-to-exceed $36,200 for construction, engineering, and inspection services for the NE 2nd Ave. Seacrest Beautification Phase 1 project.
City Attorney Review:
City Attorney approves as to form and legal sufficiency.
Funding Source/Financial Impact:
Funding in an amount not-to-exceed $36,200 is available from Account No. 377-41-340-541.68-18 Capital Outlay NE 2 Ave/Seacrest Beautification Improvements.
