Approve the First Amendment to the Work Assignment, in substantially the attached form, with Synalovski Romanik Saye, LLC to include the Civil Engineer and Landscape Architect design work associated with the 98 NW 5th Avenue Renovation project and increasing the cost of the services to $115,059.52.

Background:
At the November 13, 2018 CRA Board Meeting, the Board approved a Work Assignment with Synalovski Romanik Saye, LLC (SRS) for the renovation of the CRA owned property at 98 NW 5th Avenue in an amount not to exceed $98,000.
The property currently contains a 7,076 sq. ft. mixed-use commercial building (built in 1972) with four (4) two-bedroom, one-bath apartment units on the second floor and 750 sq. ft. of commercial space, ground level garage parking and a two-bedroom, one-bath apartment on the first floor. The scope of the renovation includes conversion of the second-floor apartments into a shared office space and a conversion of the garage space to affordable, leasable commercial retail spaces. This project is consistent with the CRA’s focus on Economic Development initiatives to activate Historic 5th Avenue.
The Work Assignment included only architectural services until concept development was formalized.
At this time, the Work Assignment with SRS is being amended to include the Civil Engineer and Landscape Architect services associated with the overall project to complete the Construction Documents and Site Plan Approval processes. The additional cost of these services is $17,059.52.
