Motion to approve nomination for appointment for one (1) regular member to serve on the Planning and Zoning Board for an unexpired term ending August 31, 2020.

Background:
There is a vacancy for a regular member to serve on the Planning and Zoning Board due to the resignation of Mr. James Knight. The term is unexpired ending August 31, 2020. Nomination for appointment is needed for one (1) regular member to serve an unexpired term ending August 31, 2020.
In order to qualify for appointment, a person shall be either a resident of, own property, own a business, or be an officer, director, or manager of a business located within the City of Delray Beach. In addition, LDR Section 2.2.2(C)(2) states. “Each of four seats on the Board must be filled with either an architect, landscape architect, realtor/real estate broker, engineer, developer, general contractor, land planner or land use attorney. The remaining three seats shall be at large. The appointing body shall endeavor to appoint as many disciplines as possible to the Board.”
An appointment from one of the professional disciplines is needed; currently, the board has four at large members.
The following individuals have submitted applications and would like to be nominated for appointment:

A check for code violations and/or municipal liens was conducted. None were found. Voter registration verification was completed, and all are registered.
Based on the rotation system, the nominations for appointment will be made by Mayor Petrolia (Seat #5) for one (1) regular members to serve an unexpired term ending August 31, 2020.
