Background:
The Swinton Avenue Design Standards will establish specifications for elements including, types of trees, landscaping, lighting, street furniture, sidewalks, and crosswalks to reinforce the character of the historic corridor. Staff is preparing a scope of work to engage a consultant to assist in this effort. The scope will include a forum for public input.

Funding Source/Financial Impact:
$75,000 for the project. The CRA has provided funding in the amount $200,000 for the overall Swinton Avenue effort.
Timing of Request:
The City is resurfacing Swinton Avenue from SE 10th to Lake Ida Drive in the next fiscal year. Swinton Avenue from Lake Ida Drive to NE 22nd will be resurfaced as a Top 8 project for FY 19/20.
