APPROVAL OF AMENDMENT NO. 3 WITH GREEN TEAM PLUMBING, LLC D/B/A GREENTEAM SERVICE CORP FOR PLUMBING MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR SERVICES INCREASING THE NOT-TO-EXCEED AMOUNT FROM $150,000 TO $250,000.

Recommended Action:

Recommendation

Motion to approve Amendment No. 3 with Green Team Plumbing increasing the not-to-exceed amount from $150,000 to $250,000 for plumbing maintenance and repair services, and authiroing the City Manager to approve renewal options, in the amounts below, contingent upon appropriation of funds.

Body

Background:

On December 6, 2016, the City of Delray Beach (City) advertised RFP No. 2017-019 for Plumbing Maintenance and Repair Services. On March 30, 2017 the City Commission approved an agreement with Green Team Plumbing for these services.

On March 12, 2019 City Commission approved Amendment No. 2 with Green Team Plumbing to extend the Agreement, under the same terms and conditions, for the period of May 1, 2019 through April 30, 2020 for a not-to-exceed amount of $150,000.

Amendment No. 3 will increase the not-to-exceed amount to $250,000 based on the City’s increasing need for plumbing maintenance and repair services. Unanticipated issues such as the first-floor restrooms watermain break at City Hall this year burdened the preapproved budget for repair services. Staff anticipates that approximately $250,000 will be spent annually for unanticipated plumbing repair services.

Should the City exercise all renewal options provided in the agreement, three additional one-year terms, the cumulative agreement value is provided below.

Estimated Contract Value

Renewal Term 1:

   May 1, 2019 - April 30, 2020

$250,000

Renewal Term 2:

   May 1, 2020 - April 30, 2021

$250,000

Renewal Term 3:

   May 1, 2021 - April 30, 2022

$250,000

                                                                                                                                                                                $750,000

This amendment is in accordance with the City Code of Ordinances, Section 36, and City Policies and Procedures, Change Orders, and Amendments; Contracts must be amended in the same way they were executed.
