Motion to approve Resolution No. 172-19 and to award an agreement with L.V. Superior Landscaping, Inc. for Landscape Maintenance Lake Ida Road Medians in the estimated amount of $337,050 and authorize the City Manager to exercise any and all renewal options, in the amounts below, contingent upon appropriation of funds.

Background:
On July 26, 2019, the City of Delray Beach (City) advertised ITB No. 2019-044 for Landscape Maintenance Lake Ida Road Medians for the following locations:
Lake Ida Road Medians (between Swinton and I-95) |
Lake Ida Road Medians (between Congress Avenue and Military Trail) |
West Atlantic Avenue (between Swinton and I-95) |
George Bush Boulevard (between NE 6th Ave. and Andrews Avenue) |
Two proposals were received from L.V. Superior Landscaping, Inc. and Earthly Designs and Resources Inc. dba Mobile Lawn Service. After review of the bids, L.V. Superior Landscaping, Inc. has been deemed the responsive and responsible vendor recommended for award. The term of the Agreement will be for three (3) years with the option to renew for an additional two, one-year periods.
This contract will provide landscape maintenance, including mowing, edging, line trimming, removal of weeds chemically and manually, shrub trimming, fertilization, mulching, tree trimming, and pruning of trees to the following locations: Lake Ida Road medians from Swinton Avenue to I-95, Lake Ida Road medians from Congress Avenue to Military Trail, W. Atlantic Avenue center medians and nodes and sidewalk from Swinton Avenue to NW/SW 12th Avenue and George Bush Boulevard (Andrews Avenue to NE 7th Avenue).
Should the City exercise all renewal options provided in the agreement, the cumulative agreement value is detailed below.
