Body
Recommended Action:
Recommendation
Motion to Approve Resolution No. 206-19 to approve an Agreement based upon Contract No. 17-0606B between Lake County and Bennett Fire Company Inc., for fire equipment parts, supplies, and services and authorize the City Manager to approve renewal options, in the amounts below, contingent upon renewal by Lake County.

Body
Background:
The City of Delray Beach (City) is in need of an agreement for the purchase of fire equipment parts, supplies and services for the City in the estimated amount of $25,000. The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1851, Standard on Selection, Care, and Maintenance of Protective Ensembles for Structural Fire Fighting, 10.1.2 recommends a maximum of 10-year service life from the date of manufacture for fire helmets, coats, pants, hoods, boots, and gloves. Some of the Fire Rescue department’s helmets and boots currently in service are nearing the 10-year limit and need replacing. There is also a need for helmets and boots for new hires and for stock inventory.

ESTIMATED AGREEMENT VALUE
Initial Term: Approval Date through June 30,2020 $25,000
Renewal Option 1: July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021 $25,000
Renewal Option 2: July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022 $25,000
Total Cumulative Value: $75,000
