Recommendation

Motion to approve Resolution No. 31-20 to award an agreement to Tinker, LLC for water conservation education program utilizing City of Boynton Beach solicitation No. RFP 021-2821-19/IT, in the estimated amount of $30,000,  and authorize the City Manager to approve renewal options, contingent upon renewal by the awarding authorities and contingent upon the appropriation of funds.

Body

Background:

A water conservation education program is an essential element of providing education and assistance necessary to make wise choices that will result in responsible long-term water use.  The water conservation education program educates future rate payers (5th grade students) and current rate payers (their teachers and parents) about water conversation.

To support the City’s water conservation education efforts, with assistance and coordination with the City’s Education Coordinator and the Sustainability Office, staff recommends approval of Tinker’s digital science grade curriculum designed to teach students about water and how to use it responsibly.
