Motion to accept the cumulative totals for each candidate for Commission Member/Seat #2 and Commission Member/Seat #4; including all regular, absentee, and provisional votes as ascertained by the Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections, and that it is hereby declared, based upon the foregoing results, that Juli Casale is elected as Commission Member/Seat #2 and Shirley E. Johnson is re-elected as Commission Member/Seat #4 for three year terms commencing on the 31st day of March, 2020, and ending in accordance with the Charter. Also, the results of the referendum question posed to Delray Beach voters as to whether the Charter Amendment should be adopted for salary increases of the Mayor and Commissioners each year.

QUESTION 1 - CHARTER AMENDMENT - COMMISSIONER/MAYOR SALARIES
Currently, any ordinance proposing to increase the annual salaries of the Mayor and Commissioners is not effective unless adopted at least six (6) months prior to the next regular city election. The charter amendment eliminates the six (6) month requirement and proposes that Mayor and Commissioner salary increases become effective at the next Organizational Meeting held on or after the last Thursday in March.
