Motion to approve Amended and Restate Sublease Agreement between the City of Delray Beach and the Friends of Sandoway House Nature Center, Inc.

Background:
In July 1995, Palm Beach County entered into an Inter Local lease Agreement with the City of Delray Beach for the land (approximately one third (1/3) of an acre with a 3,700 square foot residential structure known as the Sandoway House. The original lease agreement between the City and the County expires on August 9, 2020. An amended and restate lease agreement (Attachment C) is a separate item on this agenda for Commission approval. Both the Amended and Restated Lease with the City and the Consent to Sublease between the City and the Friends of Sandoway will be presented at the July 7, 2020 County Commission meeting for final approval. The term for the Amended and Restated Lease with the City shall extend to August 9, 2055.

Timing of Request:
Is there time sensitivity to this matter? Yes - the County deadline for the July meeting is June 9, 2020. The agreements must be approved by the City prior to approval by the County.
