Motion to approve the amended and restated lease agreement between Palm Beach County and the City of Delray Beach for the Sandoway House property.

Background:

In July 1995, Palm Beach County (County) entered into an Interlocal Agreement with the City of Delray Beach (City) for the land (approximately one third (1/3) of an acre with a 3,700 square foot residential structure known as the Sandoway House. The original lease between the City and the County expires on August 9, 2020. The Amended and Restated Lease with the City and the Consent to Sublease between the City and Friends of Sandoway will be presented at the July 7, 2020 County Commission meeting for final approval. The term for the Amended and Restates Lease with the City shall expire on August 9, 2055.

Yes - the County deadline for the July County Commission meeting is June 9, 2020. The amended and restated lease agreement must be approved by the City prior to approval by the County.
