Background:
At its workshop on June 9, 2020, the City Commission directed the City Attorney to draft an ordinance to allow the City to participate in early voting. Currently, Section 34.01 of the Code of Ordinances, expressly “opts out” of early voting. This amendment will allow the City to participate in early voting subject to the guidelines provided by the Supervisor of Elections.
