Motion to approve a Proclamation of the Delray Beach Community Redevelopment Agency in honor of Carol Westmoreland, Executive Director of the Florida Redevelopment Association upon her retirement and declaring October 15th, 2020 to be ‘Carol Westmoreland Day.’

Background:
The Delray Beach CRA has received notice from the Florida Redevelopment Association (FRA) that Executive Director, Ms. Carol Westmoreland, retired as of June 30, 2020. Ms. Westmoreland worked with the Florida League of Cities (League) for over 40 years and has worked directly with the FRA for over 32 years. During Ms. Westmoreland’s time with the League and FRA, she has been a strong advocate of CRA’s for which we are very grateful.
The FRA and the Board is asking for CRA’s to support a Proclamation making October 15, 2020 “Carol Westmoreland Day”. This date is during the 2020 FRA Annual Conference and the Board would like to make a special presentation to Ms. Westmoreland. The purpose of this Proclamation is to celebrate Ms. Westmoreland and her significant contributions over the years.
