Motion to Approve Internal Auditor's Request to Review Emails of Suspended City Manager George Gretsas.

Background:
Pursuant to City Policy IT-5, Rev. 2, “Electronic Systems and Communications Tools (E-Mail, Internet),” in order to listen to voice mail or read electronic mail of another employee, prior written approval of the employee or the employee’s Department Head is required. At the direction of the City Commission, the Internal Auditor has been tasked with investigating potential policy violations of suspended City Manager, George Gretsas. Accordingly, to comply with subsection IT-5, Rev.2, the Internal Auditor seeks the approval of the Commission to review the emails of suspended City Manager George Gretsas as part of her investigation.
Timing of Request:
This matter is time sensitive as a hearing concerning Mr. Gretsas is scheduled for August 24, 2020.
