Recommendation
1. Approve the Revocable License and Facility Use Agreement (Agreement) with ChenMed, LLC (ChenMed);

and

2. Authorize the Executive Director to execute the Agreement and all related documents.

Background:
ChenMed currently operates a medical center in West Delray Beach, Dedicated Senior Medical Center (Dedicated), which focuses its practice on providing convenient and effective healthcare for seniors.

Representatives from Dedicated reached out to CRA Staff with an interest in holding health resource event in the CRA District. The goal of these events would be to provide health education and health screenings to the senior community within the City of Delray Beach.

Tentatively, ChenMed and Dedicated has provided an initial plan to hold the events three (3) mornings per week to gauge the level of need and interest. Weekly events may include health education, and assistance with Medicare and Medicaid related issues; monthly events may include various health and wellness screenings, including diabetes screening in partnership with the Diabetes Coalition, and COVID-19 testing in partnership with the Black Nurse Practitioners of Palm Beach County. ChenMed and Dedicated will adhere to all social distancing guidelines as required by the State of Florida, Palm Beach County, and the City of Delray Beach.

Given its proximity to the downtown area, and to the Northwest and Southwest neighborhoods, the empty “Pop-Up” bay located at 700 W. Atlantic Avenue would serve as an ideal location for the events.
