Motion to Approve Resolution No. 135-20 to award an Agreement with Pavement Technology, Inc. in an estimated amount of $150,000 through August 20, 2021 for asphalt rejuvenation services; utilizing City of Margate Bid No. 2019-009, and authorizing the City Manager to approve renewal options, in the amounts below, contingent upon appropriation of funds.

Background:
On August 21, 2019, the City of Margate approved the award of an agreement with Pavement Technology, Inc. for the purchase of asphalt rejuvenation services. The contract is valid through August 20, 2021, with the option to renew for three (3) additional one (1) year periods.
Pavement restoration services are utilized to preserve the newer roads before they start to break down and require a more extensive repair. The City's goal is to rejuvenate qualified roads each year as preventative maintenance. The Public Works Department desires to utilize the above referenced Margate Asphalt Rejuvenation Agreement No. 2019-009, with Pavement Technology, Inc. for various roadway projects within the City. Specific areas are determined by the age and the Pavement Condition Index report.
Should the City exercise the renewal options provided in the contract, the cumulative contract value is provided below.
