Motion to approve letter of support with Housing Authority for Island Cove Apartments.

Background:
As part of the Island Cove Apartments development project, an affordable housing partnership between the Delray Beach Housing Authority (“DBHA”) and Smith & Henzy Advisory Group, DBHA must obtain a letter of support from the local government, the City of Delray Beach, to satisfy certain portions of its application to the Florida Housing Finance Corporation for tax credits. A copy of the letter received by the CRA from DBHA is attached as backup.
City Attorney Review:
Approved as to form and sufficiency.
Funding Source/Financial Impact:
None to the City.
Timing of Request:
The letter of support must be received no later than October 20, 2020, the deadline for DBHA to submit their application.
