Motion to Approve and Adopt the Delray Beach City Commission Meeting Procedures During Covid-19 State of Emergency dated October 20, 2020.

Background:
The action requested is formal adoption of meeting procedures as outlined in the Memorandum sent by Interim City Manager Jennifer Alvarez dated October 15, 2020. Such measures are necessary and appropriate based on the forthcoming expiration of Executive Order (“EO”) 20-69 issued by Governor Ron Desantis allowing for the use of Communications Media Technology and eliminating the physical quorum requirement providing for virtual meetings during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Timing of Request:
EO 20-69 is scheduled to expire at 12:01 am on November 1, 2020.
