Approve the modifications to the Historic Façade Improvement Program Guidelines.
Body
Background:
The Historic Façade Improvement Program was established to preserve historic structures within the CRA District.
During the September 29, 2020 CRA Board Workshop, CRA staff recommended modifications to the guidelines and received consensus from the board to make the proposed changes. The most significant updates to the Historic Façade Improvement program guidelines include:
§ Limit funding award to a maximum of $50,000 regardless of type of business entity
§ Building exterior only; no landscaping
§ Remove façade easement
§ Required application documents
o Proof of historic designation as a historic structure or contributing structure prior to application
o City approval for exterior improvements
§ Remove house relocations from eligible expenses
