Motion to approve the Interlocal Agreement for the Co-Title Sponsorship of the 2021 Delray Beach Open with the Delray Beach Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) for a term which will commence upon execution of the contract and terminate on September 30, 2021 in the amount of $905,000.

Background:
The sponsorship of tournaments at the Delray Beach Tennis Center (Tennis Center) helps further the mission of the CRA by assisting the Tennis Center in remaining a competitive venue for major events. These events draw thousands of visitors to downtown Delray Beach, including the West Atlantic Avenue area. The increase of visitors has a direct result in economic benefits for downtown merchants. This will be the thirteenth (13th) year that the CRA has been a co-title sponsor of this event.
City Attorney Review:
Approved as to form and legal sufficiency.
Funding Source/Financial Impact:
Funding is available from the Delray Beach CRA.
Timing of Request:
This needs to be approved prior to the 2021 Delray Beach Open which takes place in February 2021.
