Background:
Several businesses suffered as a results of the COVID-19 pandemic. Efforts to mitigate the spread of the virus resulted in indefinite closures, scaled down services, and/or reduced operating hours. As businesses reopen to the public, the Delray Beach CRA seeks to help businesses within the district in their efforts to continue to keep customers, visitors, and residents safe.
Through the COVID-19 Let’s Keep It Clean Grant Program, the CRA will provide funding assistance to help businesses make sanitation enhancements such as: installing touchless fixtures, acrylic shields, auto sanitizer dispensers, touchless checkout machines and/or stations. The program is intended to assist high-traffic businesses located within the CRA District, such as retail stores and restaurants. The CRA will pay for 50% of eligible sanitation improvements, up to a maximum grant award of $2,000 per business applicant. Businesses must be located within the CRA District and must use vendors/contractors located within the municipal boundaries of the City of Delray Beach to complete work.
Assisting businesses with the cost of making sanitation improvements to keep customers safe, in turn helps advance the CRA’s mission by sustaining the economic vitality of small businesses within the CRA District.
