Motion to Ratify the 50th, 51st, 52nd, 53rd and 54th Extensions of the State of Emergency for COVID -19, Resolution No. 53-21 and Resolution No. 63-21.

Background:
Chapter 95 of the Code of Ordinances provides the necessary organization, powers, and authority to enable the use of City resources during a state of emergency. On March 13, 2020, the City Commission of the City of Delray Beach declared a state of emergency due to the spread of the Novel Coronavirus Disease-2019 (COVID-19). Thereafter, due to the continued spread of COVID-19 and its impacts on the City of Delray Beach, Interim City Manager Jennifer Alvarez executed the following emergency regulations in order to protect the public health, safety and welfare of the residents of the Delray Beach and the public at large:
· 50th Extension of the Declaration of Emergency dated 2/24/21 extending the local state of emergency for 7 days;
· 51st Extension of the Declaration of Emergency dated 3/3/21 extending the local state of emergency for 7 days;
· 52nd Extension of the Declaration of Emergency dated 3/10/21 extending the local state of emergency for 7 days;
· 53rd Extension of the Declaration of Emergency dated 3/17/21 extending the local state of emergency for 7 days;
· 54th Extension of the Declaration of Emergency dated 3/24/21 extending the local state of emergency for 7 days;
· Resolution No. 53-21: Extending Directives on Wearing Facial Coverings;
· Resolution No. 63-21: Extending Directives on Wearing Facial Coverings.
