Motion to approve Resolution No. 86-21 to approve an agreement with The Shyft Group Upfit Services, Inc. dba Strobes-R-Us for supplying and installing and/or repairing and/or replacing emergency equipment for public safety vehicles in the total estimated amount of $250,000; and authorize the City Manager to approve the renewal option, in the amount below, contingent upon appropriation of funds.

Background:
On May 18, 2018, the Broward County Sheriff's Office approved a three-year contract with two, one-year renewal options to Strobes-R-Us for supplying and installing and/or repairing and/or replacing emergency equipment for public safety vehicles. On April 6, 2021, the Broward County Sheriff's Office exercised its first renewal option to extend the contract through May 9, 2022.
The Fleet Division in the Public Works Department has on-going requirements for this equipment and services in order to properly maintain the City fleet of public safety vehicles and is requesting approval to utilize the Broward County Sheriff's Office RFP 18006AG.
Should the City exercise the renewal options provided in the Agreement, the cumulative estimated contract value is provided below.
