Staff recommends approval of the Employment Agreement between the City of Delray Beach and Terrence R. Moore.

Background:
On June 28, 2021, the City Commission voted (5-0) to direct staff to enter into negotiations with Terrence R. Moore to serve as Delray Beach’s City Manager. The City Attorney drafted a proposed agreement outlining the terms and conditions of this appointment that has been accepted by Mr. Moore.
The Agreement proposes an annual salary of $230,000, a $600/month car allowance, as well as other benefits outlined in the Memorandum dated June 9, 2021 previously provided to the City Commission. The Agreement provides for severance consistent with Florida Statutes and a termination procedure consistent with the City Charter. Mr. Moore would commence his employment with the City on August 2, 2021.
