Motion to approve nominations for an appointment for three (3) regular members to serve on the Public Art Advisory Board for a two (2) year term ending 7/31/2023.

Background:
Due to the resignation of Ms. Joyce Warner, there is a vacancy on the Public Art Advisory Board. Therefore, an appointment is needed for one (1) regular member to serve a term ending July 31, 2023.

The terms for regular members, Ms. Tonya Akins and Mr. Maxwell Zengage, will expire on July 31, 2021. Ms. Tonya Akins will have served one (1) unexpired term, is eligible, and would not like to be considered for reappointment. Mr. Maxwell Zengage will have served one (1) unexpired term, is eligible and would like to be nominated for reappointment. Therefore, an appointment is needed for two (2) regular members to serve a term ending July 31, 2023.

The Land Development Regulations Article 8.5 enacted the Public Art Advisory Board for the purpose of advising and making recommendations to the City Commission with respect to public art policy and related issues including, but not limited to the selection, construction, and placement of public art in/on City right-of-way and City-owned property.

The Public Art Advisory Board shall consist of seven (7) members. Three (3) seats on the Board must be filled with either an artist, architect, landscape architect, or engineer. Laypersons of knowledge, experience, and judgment who have an interest in public art shall make up the balance of the Board.

The following individuals have submitted an application and would like to be nominated for an appointment.
