Motion to approve the first amendment to the existing agreement between Delray Beach and Palm Beach County for Emergency Service, Mutual Assistance, Automatic Aid, and Dispatch Services.

 

Body

Background:

The Fire Rescue Department currently operates under an agreement with Palm Beach County for emergency services, mutual aid, automatic aid, and dispatch services dated February 3, 2015. Palm Beach County is requesting an amendment to the agreement to include language that addresses ISO training and provisions that govern issues of liability and indemnification in order for firefighters to perform the training. The amendment also resets the agreement to a future 2031 date.

 

City Attorney Review:

Approved as to form and legal sufficiency.

There is no financial impact to the City.
