Motion to approve Resolution No. 133-21 and to award an Agreement to Shade Systems Inc. for Playgrounds and Related Equipment utilizing School Board of Volusia County Solicitation No. MTS-906BC in the amount of $103,845.

 

Body

Background:

On January 29, 2018, The School Board of Volusia County awarded an Agreement to Shade Systems Inc. for Playgrounds and Related Equipment pursuant to Solicitation No. MTS-906BC. The Agreement is effective through January 31, 2022, with the option to renew for three (3), one-year renewal periods.

 

This Agreement is for single cantilever designed shade structures over the bleachers at Pompey Park’s baseball field. This design is ideal for sports field viewing as the support columns are set to the rear, leaving the viewing field unobstructed.

 

Funding for this project is coming form the CRA.

 

This motion is in accordance with Code of Ordinances Chapter 36 Commission Approval Required and Purchasing Policies and Procedures Manual, Accessing Contracts from other Government Agencies and Not-for-Profit Organizations.

 

City Attorney Review:

Approved as to legal form and legal sufficiency.
